JOHN M. MITCH, 2^nd VICE PRESIDENT

1. Hydrants. No Report

2. Insurance (Comprehensive, Health, Life, etc.).

• Update on Life Insurance policy
• Cancelled insurance on 5-3
• Benefits checks have been issued to Balog & Agugliaro. Comm. Manente will personally deliver these.

3. Work Crew.

• No report.

4. Website.

• Updates being added to website

 

5. Medical.

• No Report

• Christmas Tree lighting and Christmas Light parade (no equipment will be decorated)
• Getting quotes to replace current landscaper
• Resolutions to approve BOFC salaries (adopt)
• League of Municipalities week of November 15.
• Budget meeting will be held on November 3, 2022

             

KEITH ADDIE SECRETARY

• New radios have all been programmed
• Received charging units. All apparatus has new radios
• Will plan on getting more radios next year.

BRUCE MIZAK, 1^st VICE PRESIDENT

• 5-3 was sold and picked up by Paterson Heights Fire Dept. In PA
• Bays will be rearranged after the Holidays
• 5-2-5 should be back from PM
• 5-1 and 5-4 tires have been replaced
• Firefighter Singh’s gear came in but the number is in the wrong area on pants

GREGORY CZOCH, TREASURER

• Buildings and Grounds.

• • Fire Alarm System.
• Sprinkler System.

• • Keyless entry system.
    • No report.
  • Security Camera system.
    • No report.
  • Lawn Maintenance.

Other.  –

• Stair risers have been ordered
• Dunnigan has been to 105 Avenel St.
• Generator contracts for 105 Avenel St. and the Firehouse were signed and check have been cut.

      4.   Communications / Correspondence.

SPILLAR, FIRE OFFICIAL

• Tuesday, Nov. 1^st the Christmas Tree will be brought to the Firehouse
• Fire Prevention week and Open House was a huge success. Big difference being back in the schools with kids attending the Open House. Thanks to Chris Neroda, the career division, and volunteers for a job well done.
• Will be using some more of my itemized line item to purchase low stocked supplies once October bills are processed, and I can see what I have left
• I will submit bills to WTJBOFC for their annual reimbursement of Fire Prevention money
• Amazon – 30 Blair Rd. Firewatch due to closure 11/2 – 11/3. To be reimbursed by Amazon.
• Will be attending the League of Municipalities conference 11/14 – 11/17
• 5-3-8 attending 16 hours, investigating for Arson Profit 11/9 – 11/10
• Several on – line classes taken and scheduled for CEU’s
• Holiday Overtime will begin in November and continue through 1/7 – 1/8/2023

 

FRANK STRAIN, CHIEF 2022

• Calls for the month
•   Flammable liquids drill was cancelled

 

DAVID EIDSON, BUSINESS ADMINISTATOR

• Report given in Executive Session

 

PUBLIC – Career and Volunteer firefighters in attendance

• Asst. Chief addressed a mutual aid call
• Firefighter M. Mizak spoke about recall availability
• Capt. D. Mizak suggested the S.O.G. be revised for recalls

A motion was made by Comm. Mitch to close the public section of the meeting at 6:31 p.m. Second by Comm. Czoch
