  • End of the year report has been certified by FO and President of BOFC and has been submitted to the Division.
  • Received $3,041.50 Fire Zone Reimbursement September/October 2021
  • Received $112.32 overtime reimbursement – off hour imminent hazard reopening inspection – 449 Blair Rd.
  • Holiday Fire Zone Enforcement
    • 64 summonses issued, numerous warnings
    • 19 summonses issued during the standard off – hour enforcement
  • Scanner for site plans is in full operation with the goal to be all paperless in next several months
  • As in the past, we have booked the bounce house for field day at AMS
  • DFO Neroda has 1 active juvenile fire setter
  • Map Books / Hydrants – Chris. Will look into doing a full update in the spring as projects come to completion.
  • Pre – Planning / Tablets – Danny
  • Solar Panels Franks – Large amount of CO’s are still coming in during the winter months.

FRANK STRAIN, FIRE CHIEF 2022

  • 49 total calls for December 2021 & January 2022
  • 3 man recall
  • Jan. 13th 2 man recall for fire in District 2
  • Jan. 19th 3 man recall for the fire in Ideal
  • Would like to change the Career Captains call signs
  • Firefighter Finley would like to attend Fire II
  • Would like to purchase a large new Halogen bar (Comm. Mizak would like to hold off for now)
  • Lost one air bottle during the Ideal Mobile Home fire
  • Met with Chief in Dist.1. We will be covering part of Dist. 1 for reported smoke and or structure fire.
  • Met with Dist. 9, we will help cover part of District for reported smoke and or structure fires.

  • O2 Bags not in service yet, waiting on quotes for nasal canuel

  • Ladies Aux. has been disbanded. Would like to thank them for their many years of service.

  • Dryer has been ordered there is a 6-8week delivery

  • 5-4 mechanical issue has been corrected

  • Inspections being completed at the firehouse & 105 Avenel St.
  • Dunigan has fixed the urinals in the men’s upstairs and downstairs restrooms
  •  Received a price on replacing the rubber in the stairwells ($26,000 will not be going forward with this)
  • Ice machines are both working
  • Roof update – railing needs to be completed. Siren is not working.

  • One imminent hazard order issued; Dollar Tree – 1392 St. Georges Ave. Failure to maintain a working fire alarm system. They had 8 days to repair before closure
  • Incoming Chief and Officers will be refreshed on Fire Official notification guidelines.
  • End of year report for Division is being worked on and will send to state in beginning of January.
  • All 2021 Life Hazard and Non – Life Hazard Use inspections are completed
  • Will continue to do mostly virtual classes in the spring semester as informed by the Division

  • Holiday Overtime schedule is posted on the big board. Same schedule as previous years, Saturdays, and Sundays.
  • One hydrant removed from the dead end of Edgerton and a new additional hydrant installed at FDC to 355 Edgerton Blvd – The Boulevard East. Hydrant located on Yardley Ave.
  • One juvenile incendiary incident at LeGrand Park. Case turned over to Woodbridge PD Juvenile Bureau.
  • All 4 Inspectors have been taking on-line CEU classes with Division of Fire Safety.
  • Attended League of Municipalities seminar and convention.

  • Handed out all T – Shirts and Sweatshirts. Thanked the Board for these.

  • Fire Prevention Week and open House went well. Visited each classroom one by one for a Fire Safety Talk.
  • Will be using some more of my itemized line item to purchase low stocked supplies once October bills are processed and I can see what I have left.
  • I will submit bills to WTJBOFC for their annual Reimbursement of Fire Prevention Monies.
  • Received $1,309.00 Fire Zone Reimbursement – Township of Woodbridge
  • Will be attending the League of Municipalities 11/15 -011/18
  • Queens Gardens Firewatch completed. In hands of the Township and Property owner. Awaiting reimbursement.
  • Several on – line classes taken and scheduled for CEU’s
  • Christmas Tree will be put up on Nov. 8, being lit on Nov. 28th

  • Port Reading and Woodbridge dropped gear off to be washed. Our washed destroyed one set of Port Reading’s gear. Need to replace the liner.
  • Look into getting heated drying racks to dry the gear. Comm. Addie will get information about a walk-in dryer.
  • Older gear can be sent out to get re certified and inspected.
